Club Supper: Members and Guests St Andrews Foursomes Stableford (2P, NQ, Y/R, 18h) Rules

By entering this competition, you are agreeing to the club competition policies documented in the Handicap and Competitions Manual which can be found in the H&C section of the club website.
Format:
St Andrews Foursomes Stableford (there are variations of this format; the one we are using is below):
• Both players in each pair tee-off at every hole, as in Greensomes.
• Each pair elects who is going to play the 2nd shot on the odd holes and who is going to play the 2nd shot on even holes (like Foursomes but for the 2nd shot).
• Each pair selects which ball to play from their drives.
• The selected odd/even hole 2nd shot player then plays the second shot and alternate, foursomes style play continues until the hole is completed.

Team Playing Handicap, tees and card:
Yellow and Red tees to be used for this competition. Scoring is based on the RED Card (Red Course)

Lady / Lady Pair:
• Each Lady receives their Red Course Handicap + 4 shots.
• Pair Playing Handicap = 50% of the combined handicaps of each Lady’s adjusted Course Handicap (i.e. add the extra shots before dividing by 2).
• Both Ladies play from the Red tee.
• Scoring is off the Red Card

Lady / Man Pair:
• The Lady receives their Red Course Handicap + 4 shots and the Man their Yellow Course Handicap.
• Pair Playing Handicap = 50% of the combined Lady’s adjusted Course Handicap ( i.e. inclusive of the +4 ) and the Man’s Course Handicap (i.e. add the extra shots before dividing by 2).
• Lady plays from Red tee. Man plays from the Yellow Tee.
• Scoring is off the Red card.

Man / Man Pair:
• 50% combination of each players Yellow Course Handicap.
• Men play from the Yellow tees.
• Scoring is off the Red card (yes Red!). (Men receive the advantage of additional Par 5’s from the Red card.)
